The Faerie Perfume and The Rose Faerie
The second collection of faerie stories that teach children how to live in the world with positivity and love – or something will smell bad!
In the Faerie Perfume, after he receives faerie perfume as a reward for a good deed, people around Sam smile to recognise their favourite smells. But the perfume is picking up its aroma from the soul of the wearer, and when his grumpy father accidentally gets some on his own skin, the smell turns to a terrible stench … In The Rose Fairy, the Faerie Folk learn that true beauty is in deeds not appearance, as through kindness and dedication scruffy Faerie Meggy Mog succeeds where they have all failed, and the neglected roses bloom again.
Clare and the Apple Faerie, and the Bad Troll
In this third book in the Adventures of Faerie Folk series, Clare must learn how to share or she will never have the pleasure of tasting the apples in her garden; and the Bad Troll must show kindness to the villagers before it is too late.
Jack and the Snowdrop Faerie and William Walnut
In this Fourth Volume of the Adventures of Faerie Folk series, we find Jack who loves winter so much that he is willing to do something very naughty to try and stop spring from coming. We also meet William Walnut who must learn to be proud of what he does and find the balance of life, before it’s too late.
Where did the idea for the story come from?
My daughter has autism, dyspraxia and learning difficulties which excluded her from other children and she was bullied badly in school, so I wrote these stories to show her and other children it’s okay to be different and learn morals.
Please summarise your book in ten words.
Teaching children morals and positive feelings to self and nature.
Give a quote from the books, one that says little but speaks volumes.
The world would be a truly magical place, if we could only remember our childhood wonder.
