I’ve been meaning to read this for a while as it’s been sitting on my Kindle. However, I was scrolling through my To Read folder and came across it again.
I liked it because it is sheer romance, from love lost to love found. Jewel lives in such a beautiful house by the ocean with her husband, a Marine. When he is killed in action she has to learn to live and love again. Of course, it isn’t easy as we follow Jewel through her despair. I won’t give away the storyline although as you read you will guess her husband’s gift long before Jewel’s does!
I love how her husband returns to talk to her and sometimes, like Jewel, it is not easy to know which is real and which isn’t.
Grief is a terrible thing, but one everyone goes through and the author handles is it so well. I loved Jewel’s friends and family because they were all so real and the book deals only in kindness and comfort.
So if you are looking for a nice romance to cheer you up – once you get over the grieving with her, you will certainly enjoy this one.
