This is a crime novels with a host of secrets, suspicion, and the feeling that everyone is hiding something, Cold Murder is a great start to a new detective series.
A man is found frozen to death, “guilty” carved into his chest, in what appears to be a quiet, well to do cul-de-sac. Detective Sergeant Della Downs and her colleague Ben Curran investigate the neighbours where they feel the killer lies.
Lots of twists to keep you on your toes, and I liked Della, she was a cool detective who was not perfect, but good at her job.
Overall, this is twisty, character-driven police procedural tale with a strong female detective.
