The Secret Gift by Daniel Hurst

My Review

Because The Secret Gift is now my third book from Daniel Hurst, I didn’t read the blurb. I didn’t need to as I knew it would be a good story.

I hadn’t expected it to feature Christmas, but why not? It’s not all about the festive season, but that where the action happens.

Another short, sharp read with exceptional writing. Who would guess a secret Santa would cause so much havoc?

There is a very clever Easter Egg in the story. I’ve never seen it done, but oh what fun! I didn’t notice, but was delighted when the author’s note appeared at the end revealing the secret and best twist of all.

Giving gifts has never been so deadly…

When Brenda partakes in a game of ‘Secret Santa’ with her friends, she is expecting some harmless festive fun. But she gets a lot more than she bargained for when she makes a shocking discovery, one that turns the simple act of swapping gifts into a deadly game of revenge, murder and mystery.

Some gifts are best left undelivered…
