With this one I listened to it entirely on audio book. I enjoyed the story as the narrator, Aubrey Parsons whose voices I now hear when I think of or read from the books.
The Fountain pub has a visiting stag party who cause a rumpus with the locals before dispersing. Except one of them is murdered and thus a new case for Harry Grimm amd his team.
Although the plot was good, I didn’t enjoy as much as I had some of the others. The wasn’t a lot of humour as there normally is. But at book nineteen in the series, not all books are going to be the same.
We get the personal lives of the detectives and it’s an important part of the stories as much as the plot is.
This book, along with the others is stand alone, which means you don’t need to read them order. I like to, and glad that I have.
