My Review of You Can’t Trust Anyone

A Quick Read!

You Can’t Trust Anyone by Paul White

Bite-Sized-Read, Short Story

Rating: 3 Stars

I love the design on the front. It draws you in. It’s really stunning and I’ve only just realised how the Crime Fiction Karma written on the front cover relates to its content.

This story felt shorter than the others in the collection. But straight away I guessed what would happen, so there was absolutely no surprises.

However, the plot was entertaining and the story was well written. To read the main character normalising what he does, almost made me believe that it was a great way to earn a living.

This is part of the Bite Sized Reads, a collection’s f short stories available to read as part of a Kindle Unlimited membership. Each story is standalone and can be read in order.

You Can’t Trust Anybody is an enjoyable, lighthearted tale about Gary, a London pickpocket, who is having an excellent day preying on the unsuspecting.

However, life can change instantly, and Gary is about to discover that Karma is real.

My Favourite Bits

Gary prided himself on being an expert dip. It ran in the family. He was following his father’s and grandfather’s profession. He had never been caught, never been questioned, never been stopped, and he had no intention of allowing that to change.

Gary’s day continued in the same vein. Easy mark after easy mark, purse after purse, wallet after wallet.
