Review of Free Spirit by Paul White

Brief Description – David’s new apartment has old furniture inside which he must move. But who keeps putting it back?

I love the cover it really pops out at you. What an elegant woman and perfect for how you imagine Evelyn from the story would be.

David is excited at moving into his new apartment. It hadn’t been lived in for a long time and the previous owner left old, and elegant furniture behind.

He gets stuck into the cleaning and the moving of the old furniture ready to ship it out and make way for his own.

Everything was going well until he realised he wasn’t alone. Something strange was happening.David comes face to face with the occupant through a door he hadn’t noticed before.

The story was. a clever, and I liked the way it turned out. Although it left me curious. What happened? How did it go? A good read but it finished all too soon.

Blurb

David is thrilled to be moving into his new apartment, a spacious home in a lovely neighbourhood that he snagged at a bargain price, a rare find in this city.

The place needs some work before he can furnish it and settle in. It needs cleaning, there are repairs to undertake, and it desperately needs a fresh coat, several coats, of paint.

No problem, David has friends lined up to help over the weekend, but tonight, he’s tackling the task alone, starting with clearing out the old furniture left behind by the previous tenants.

However, as the evening progresses strange things begin to happen, eerie things, like furniture moving, and that faint music. Something or someone is in his new home.

Enjoy this mellow, modern Ghost story.
