Review of Blind Fury by Nick Clauson

Brief Description – Don’t look up because what you see will change you to a raving lunatic.

This is the second book of the series and I moved straight onto this one because the first was so good.

Don’t look up refers to a crack in the sky. If they do, they go blind and their skin turns grey as their humanity drains away. They turn into killing machines who violently attack anyone who gets in the way.

Even though they are blind, their hearing is acute. We’ve now learnt it’s possible to stay quiet and they might not know you’re there. Might, so it’s always a risk – that’s how involved you get! So that makes great reading.

As with any series we now have an established set of characters, but the author introduces more. It’s not the least bit confusing as they all have a chapter dedicated to their view point. Although they interact with each other, their stories are different, always interesting and exciting to read.

The story twists and turns and is full of battles, chases, and rooting for the good guys. It’s an adrenaline fuelled, edge of the seat read all the way through. I loved it!

Cleverly written, I highly recommend it, and once more give this second book the full five stars.

Blurb

In the land of the blind … the seeing are hunted prey

The crack is still there. Growing bigger each time it appears. Turning more and more people into mindless killers. The authorities struggle to keep things from spiraling.

Mark has made up his mind as to where his loyalties lie. But is he too late to save the woman he loves?

Tommy has found temporary refuge in the safehouse along with John. But are they really safe from the effects of the crack, even behind boarded-up windows?

Gina made an awful decision and now has to live with the consequences. She doesn’t know, however, that the consequences are coming for her.

More immune people are appearing, and they start to try and connect, hoping to work together to find a solution before it’s too late. It doesn’t look promising, though.

Because there’s no cure. No prevention. Not even an explanation.

Only blind fury.
