A Review of Tea With The Reaper by Paul White

Brief Description – it’s all in the title. A clever little story.

I really enjoyed this short tale as it tells us about Nicole and her unexpected guest. She continually asks what he wants as she fears for her life. The two chat over tea and the mystery keeps us guessing as to who he has come for. And, to make it interesting there are a few red herrings along the way.

A great read that does exactly what it’s supposed to, entertain us for a short while.

I recommend it and Tea with the Reaper gets:

Blurb

Nichole wakes in the early hours, her breath forming a fine mist in the chilly air. She pulls her duvet tighter, convinced that the cold disturbed her sleep. But then she hears it, an odd rustling sound. Was it real, or just a remnant of her dream?

Her slumber is disrupted once more, this time, Nichole is convinced the noise is inside the house. With a mix of curiosity and caution, she tiptoes from her bedroom to investigate.

The kitchen is dark and empty… until the kettle suddenly clicks off as it reaches boiling. Confusion washes over her, who could have done this? A voice emanates from the shadows: “Sit down, Nichole, join me in a cup of tea.”

What unfolds next is a gentle, cosy, ghostly tale.
Discover what happens in this enchanting and mysterious story that will leave you pondering long after the last page is turned.
