This is the follow up to The Landing about an alien invasion, which I really enjoyed.
Darcie and Ben want to go to the big city in the aftermath of the landing and taking away as many people as they could get.
The teenagers hoped to find other survivors, and get help. Along the way they pick up a couple of others who are lost and alone. Unfortunately, the city is no better than what they left behind.
I loved the twists the author added as they made their journey. None of it was expected, so it took me by surprise. It was one of those books you can’t put down.
Overall, I really loved both stories, and hope there is a third. I highly recommend it.
