This time in 2022, I wanted to read more apocolyptic books, and the majority of my yearly reads were on this subject. There is a huge choice, and I’ll continue to enjoy them. But there is another subject I want to read, alien invasion where UFOs appear in the sky. So I looked at what Amazon had to offer. This one appealed to me.
I’ve never read or come across this author before but The Landing was just the story I was looking for. Told from Darcie’s perspective, she is hanging out with her friends who are all typical teenagers. The boys drinking and being stupid making it just a normal day. That is until the UFOs appear in the sky.
What happens next is unbelievable to the teenagers as they hide out in someone’s house after a policeman tells them to get off the street. They knock on a door and are invited inside. It turns out to be the wrong one to choose when they discover another type of fear. What follows in the next few hours and days is terrifying as the four youngsters fight for survival.
Unfortunately, there were a number of errors, and I was also left wondering about the prisoners they discovered in the jailhouse.
Overall, it’s a great story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be reading the second book. I’ll also check out the authors other titles too. If you like UFO books, you’ll love this. I recommend it.
