P.D. James, was born on this day in 1920. P. D. Stands for Phyllis Dorothy, and she was an acclaimed British author known for her crime fiction genre. She passed away on November 27, 2014, and left behind a legacy of captivating mysteries.
I’ve never read any of her work, but was a big fan of the original Inspector Adam Dalglish series.

This first book was her debut novel and published in 1962. She then went on to write fourteen in total. P. D. James’s novels stood out for their intellectual depth and psychological insight.
Although P.D. James is no longer with us, her stories continue to be enjoyed by countless readers, cementing her status as one of the most influential and beloved authors in the crime fiction genre.
