J.K. Rowling, was born on this day in 1965 in Yale, Gloucestershire. J. K. stands for Joanne Kathleen. She is a renowned British author best known for her immensely popular Harry Potter series.

I’m working my way through her Comoran Strike series, and have started number five. Rowling really understands human nature and her character descriptions are second to none. Every character has a back story which is properly why her books are so lengthy. I love them.
