Book Review of The Oil Change by D. A. Northup

Where did I find it: This is a new release from my publisher, Norns Triad Publications and I read it as an ARC. (Advanced Readers Copy)

What I liked: that I also learnt something new about the process. I loved how the Grandpa showed his grandchild how to change the oil in a car. It’s something everyone should know because most of us have to do it at sometime or other. I also liked the easy way it was written, so children can understand the workings of an engine. The book is also educational and it’s something that they can do with their parents or grandparents.

What I didn’t like: I can honestly say there is nothing I didn’t like.

Overall: This a great story for children who want to make special memories with their grandparents. The book also has wonderful vivid illustrations that adds reference to the story. I would say the paperback is ideal for your child to to sit outside and read under a tree. I think they will come running in to ask if they can help the next time you change your oil! A perfect gift for your child.
